Last Saturday morning, Brother Knights and their families showed up en masse to deliver 21 Christmas food baskets to community folks in need. When we say ‘baskets’ we mean two huge boxes of food plus a $20 Roth’s meat gift card – enough for a Christmas dinner for several and then some.
A total of 26 baskets were delivered this season – 2 went to supplement the Santiam School District Thanksgiving food basket program, 3 went to Sublimity Elementary School earlier in the week, with the remaining 21 delivered by the Knights on Saturday.
This year’s project was due to a coordinate effort of many; thanks to the Regis St. Mary Schools, Knights of Columbus St. Anthony Council 2439, and the Santiam Service Integration Team for their support. Special thanks to Brother Matt Etzel and his family for gathering and sorting the food, and letting us take over his garage. And Kennedy says the donuts were great!

Loading the food baskets for delivery. Many Brothers showed up, including Brother John King’s Emma who decided to play camera shy!
