Left to Right: Brothers Chuck Zamora, Ed Diehl, Dennis Volpa, Dan King
Members of the St. Anthony Council attended the recent Habitat for Humanity Hopebuilder breakfast in Salem. The annual Hopebuilder breakfast is a way of thanking all the Habitat for Humanity donors and volunteers and also for sharing success stories.
The St. Anthony Council sponsored a table this year. Brother Dennis Volpa also volunteers for ReStore, doing donation pickups throughout the Mid-Willamette Valley.
Habitat for Humanity is a featured program of the Knights “Faith in Action” initiative. Councils are asked to donate a minimum of $1,000 or 200 service hours to the Habitat for Humanity projects in their community, and this effort counts for two credits toward the Columbian Award.
St. Anthony Council 2439 has been actively involved with the Mid-Willamette Valley Habitat for Humanity during 2019 and are very close to achieving the Columbian Award minimums!
NOTE: The Salem ReStore is also looking for more volunteers. If you are interested please contact Russ or Stephen at (503) 485-4845, or email [email protected]
