Local family is burned out of their home – please consider supporting

January 16, 2020 Posted by kofc2439admin Public

Many have already heard about the situation with the Kuenzi family.  Peter and Wendy Kuenzi of Stayton lost their home to a fire this past Sunday.  The house is a total loss, not much is salvageable.  They are currently staying in a motel with their 10 children.

The family also lost one of their young daughters just a couple of years ago.  This fire has been yet another devastating blow to the family.

This past Tuesday our council voted to contribute $1,500 from our Community Service fund to the family.  We know that many other members of our community have chipped in to help in a variety of ways.  Thanks to Brothers Tom Miller and John King for bringing this to our council’s attention.

[Updated Jan 16, 2:34pm] In addition, a Brother Knight, who wishes to remain anonymous, has contributed an additional $5,000, which will be delivered to the family later today.

Please consider a personal contribution

Peter Kuenzi’s employer, Pratum Co-Op, contributed several thousand dollars to help the family.  They have also started a gofundme page.  Here is the link to their facebook page, and a direct link to their gofundme page.  You can also reach the family by mail at:

Please consider contributing, and share this with others.  As Knights, we come together to help community members in need.
