Advice on evangelizing to the unafilliated – from a former athiest turned Catholic

Advice on evangelizing to the unafilliated – from a former athiest turned Catholic

January 10, 2019 Posted by kofc2439admin Public

We invite you to watch this enlightening discussion between Jared Zimmerer and Word on Fire Institute fellow, Leah Libresco.

Libresco (who converted from atheism to Catholicism only a few years ago) shares a broad range of insights into how to evangelize the people within our secular culture.

Although only a small percentage of North Americans today are professed atheists, skepticism towards God and religion remains a real problem.

Since the rise of the New Atheism in the mid-2000’s, a more vocal and sometimes aggresive atheism has been adopted by many, especially among today’s younger generations.

Some of the highlights of the discussion include:
·    The psychological aspects of atheism
·    Obstacles to evangelizing atheists
·    How to evangelize skeptics in your own family
·    How building authentic Christian communities can be an effective evangelization strategy
